The Okumidori cultivar takes its name from the Japanese for "deep green." Registered in 1974 and grown in Japan, it is valued for its high amino acid content, which gives the tea a pronounced umami character with a naturally sweet finish.

Sencha Okumidori features:

• Vegetal, umami-rich flavour with notes of seaweed and minimal astringency.
• Naturally sweet aftertaste and bright green liquor.
