B.A.D. stands for Big Ass Dornfelder – a high-altitude vineyard on clay-limestone in Rheinhessen, almost missed during a busy harvest. The sun and wind-dried grapes were tiny, ripe and concentrated. Direct-pressed to highlight the soil's minerality.
