Duckman – also known as João Pato – is the project Maria João Pato started in 2018 with her father Luís Pato in Bairrada, named for her grandfather João Pato. Nerd Duck is a Palhete: 95% Maria Gomes co-fermented with 5% Baga, the Baga skins macerating with the white juice for five days to give colour, grip and depth. Pale copper-red, bright and unusual.

• Palhete style: 95% Maria Gomes + 5% Baga, 5-day skin maceration.
• Pale copper-red – the structure of a red, the freshness of a white.
• Indigenous Bairrada varieties; low intervention, minimal additives.
• Made by Maria João Pato and Luís Pato, Bairrada, Portugal.
• 750ml.
• 10% ABV.
