Drawn & Quarterly – The Native Trees of Canada

The Native Trees of Canada by Leanne Shapton, published by Drawn & Quarterly.

A new edition of Shapton's art book, a bold reinterpretation of a century-old Canadian government reference book of the same name. Shapton found a 1956 edition in a Toronto used bookstore and reimagined its tree illustrations as bold, near-abstract images in vivid ink and house paint. This edition has a foreword by Sheila Heti and a new cover.
