Mainada Rosé 2025 by Afianes Wines.

A natural dry rosé from Fokiano, the red grape of Ikaria, grown at Raches. Afianes is a family winery on a granite hill in Raches, working with Ikaria's two local varieties, Fokiano and Begleri, both PGI Ikaria.

Mainada Rosé features:

• 100% Fokiano, PGI Ikaria, from Raches. Organically farmed on terraces.
• Grapes are destemmed without pressing and the juice stays with the skins for 3 hours, then is pressed and cold soaked.
• Fermented in a closed stainless steel tank below 12°C, then stirred on its lees every 10 days for 3 months before bottling.
• Nose of forest fruits, herbs, watermelon, rose and Ikarian brushwood. On the palate white pepper, dried fruits and brushwood, with full body, cooling acidity and high minerality.
• The winery says it can age for at least 2 years.
• Serve at 10 to 12°C in summer, around 16°C in winter. Afianes suggests seafood in red sauces, shrimp saganaki, grilled prawns, Greek meze, or sweet-and-sour Asian dishes.
• 75cl.
• 13% ABV.
