A natural dry white from Begleri, the white grape that has been grown only on Ikaria for the past hundred years, from the Litani vineyard at 400 m. Afianes is a family winery on a granite hill in Raches, working with Ikaria's two local varieties, Fokiano and Begleri, both PGI Ikaria.

Litani White features:

• 100% Begleri, PGI Ikaria, from vines between 1 and 40 years old. Organically farmed on terraces.
• Classic white winemaking in stainless steel with wild indigenous yeasts. Bottled unfiltered and unfined, with no added sulphites.
• Slightly cloudy gold in the glass. Herbal and floral nose with citrus; salty, vibrant and full-bodied on the palate, with a long finish.
• The winery says it ages for up to 15 years. 2,200 bottles produced.
• Serve at 12°C. Afianes suggests grilled fish, seafood and oysters, oven-baked lamb with lemon and rosemary, or high-fat yellow cheeses.
• 75cl.
• 11.5% ABV.
