You will work the clay with bare hands, getting to know its texture, building from it and letting it guide you towards shapes that are entirely your own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the first session (\"handbuilding\"), Lib will introduce you to different types of clay and explain their characteristics. Under his guidance, you will have shaped one or two pieces by the end of the evening, which we will then bisque fire the following week as preparation for your second session (\"glazing\").\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTaking place at least two weeks later, the second session (\"glazing\") focuses on finalising your work. You will learn the basics of glazing and how to apply them. As a final step, you can choose from a range of techniques and colours to transform your pieces into something one of a kind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEveryone is welcome to express their creativity in their own way. This is a space to explore freely, without judgment and without expectation. Come as you are, the clay will do the rest. And if you ever feel like you'd like a little artistic guidance, the host will be happy to help.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eAbout the host\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLib Shkupolli, born in Kosovo, raised in Luxembourg, is a self-taught ceramic artist and sculptor. His works are characterised by strong materiality, colours and contrasts as well as abstract bodily figures, and have been shown in Luxembourg, France, Italy, Belgium and Albania. Valerius Gallery (Luxembourg) and 193 Gallery (Paris) exhibit his sculptures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eWhat is included\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eThis workshop on \"Shaping Clay\" is divided into two sessions: first session covers \"handbuilding\", the second session covers \"glazing\". Both sessions are included in the price, together with up to 2 kilograms of clay, a selection of glazes, and the full firing of your pieces. All tools are provided for the duration of the sessions. There is a maximum of 6 participants per session. Wear clothes that can be marked by clay. Please do not wear any rings and bracelets. Piece dimensions are limited, this will be explained on location. You will be notified about your collection date once your piece has been bisque fired.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eBefore you book\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eEach date can be rescheduled once at no charge; after that there is a change fee of 20€ per session. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the first session, and once the first session has taken place, the second session follows automatically and cannot be cancelled or refunded. A collection notification will be sent.
